Overview of LN-complex and subunits interact with it

Here we will discuss how the affinity of protein-protein interfaces can be explained by entropic basis. Interfaces in LN-complex in the Constitutive Centromere-Associated Network (CCAN) are used as examples of our study. Nine interfaces including the inner interface in LN-complex, interface between CHL4 and NKP1, AME1, MCM21, OKP1, CSE4, MCM16, CTF19 and interfaces between IML3 and CTF3, are discussed in our website.

👉Why we should study the entropic basis?

👉How we study the entropic basis?

In this study, we divided those nine interfaces into three groups according to their different sizes of the interface area: large (>1000Å2), medium (500-1000 Å2), and small (<500 Å2).
