Interface N:O (CHL4:MCM21)

Like the IML3:CHL4 interface, this interface has a deep groove shape. However, CHL4 and MCM21 are grooved at different regions such that CHL4 appears much flatter.

In contrast to the previous interface, the hydrophobic and hydrophilic amino acid residues are scattered across the interface. The scattering, which seems almost random at first, displays a star-like pattern with a hydrophilic centre - more clearly observed on CHL4. The protein-protein interactions are believed to occur across the interface where the hydrophilic residues are found.

The CHL4:MCM21 interface also has a GROOVE shape, with a majority of hydrophilic residues.
