The Minor Interface

Interface H:N (MCM16:CHL4)

This FLAT interface involves only 2 and 3 residues on MCM16 and CHL4, respectively.

There is no strong non-covalent bonding (hydrogen bonds and salt bridges) present at this interface, and thus Van der Waals' interactions are predicted to be formed between PRO-319 of CHL4 and GLN-14 of MCM16

Considering the above and the overall CCAN complex (click to recap), it could be that this interface is a result of the ScCTF3 complex (Cenp- HIK) interacting with other subunits.

This MCM16:CHL4 flat interface is only 69 Å2, suggesting that there is no significant contribution to the overall CCAN complex.
