Hydrogen bond backbone at the IML3:CHL4 interface

Nitrogen and Oxygen on CHL4 (Cenp-N) and IML3 (Cenp-L) main chain form a hydrogen bond backbone with each other. This strong and direct interaction underpins the complex formation.

There are no salt bridges present which can be predicted from both the histogram and the distribution of hydrophobic and hydrophilic residues across the interface.
