BSA and contact bonds differences in IML3 interfaces
In the IML3/CHL4 complex, the buried surface area (BSA), the number of atoms (Nat), and the H-bonds and salt bridges conform with the average (Fig.1&2).
Conversely, between IML3 and CTF3 these features, in particular BSA, are lower than in most protein complexes (Fig.1&2).
These features may justify the association of IML3 and CHL4 as a distinct subcomplex, and may indicate that the interaction between IML3 and CTF3 is merely transient.
